Sweet Novelties

This is another baking I made for Christmas.. This is something reminding me of our childhood where we use to eat up the cookies based first saving the candy for later.. save the best for last ma.. hehehe.. This is call "toh chi pang" in cantonese if direct translate into english is belly button cookie.. hahahaha till today I still wonder Why it is call so... anyway who cares.. as long as it is tasty la.. hahaha

Sunday, 14th December 2008 (Part 1)
Was thinking I could finish it in 1 day but it turn out cannot... made it on Sunday but only half way through... why?? because my icing topping doesn't turn out well.. just couldn't get the texture right so the topping just wouldn't hold its form.. aiks!! But mine will never look like the traditional Sweet Novelties as the recipe ask for a 1" round cutter but I find it too big so what I did I use the small heart shape cutter (only that can do) and cut the base into heart shape instead.... Maybe tonight will try the frosting again... if I still have enough energy :p
