Poon Choy & Tea Pot Soup

After my baking & spa, I went dinner with my family to celebrate mother's day for my mom in advance so that next week no need to squeeze with so many ppl. We went to eat "Poon Choy" and "Char Wu Tong (tea pot soup)" in Sungai Buloh. Am not sure "Poon Choy" originated from which chinese clan but all I know it is called so becaused the dish is servered in a big pot (or basin in the olden days) with a few layers of seafood and meat in it.

There is two type of 'Poon Choy' serve here, 1 is the normal/standard (RM238) type with 13 types of seafood and meat in it and the other type is the luxury (RM480) type where there is 18 types of ingredients in it inclusive of abalone, suckling pig and sharks fin. Both category are sufficient to feed 10-13pax.

The one we ordered are the standard 1 and obviously you can see from the picture it is really a lot. There is some nice thick sauce at the bottom and the taste is so yummy especially when the food goes with the sauce. However since I am busy eating so I didn't manage to take the photo of how the dish look like with the sauce... ahahha maybe if I go again I will make sure to take the some photos on that. :p

As for the teapot soup I would say nothing too special about that as it is just herbal soup place and served in a teapot. But no worry the soup taste nice too and cost RM20 per pot enough for 10pax. Again I didn't take photo XD
