Chocolate Glazed Hazelnut Balls

Am on baking spree now to complete all my bakings for Christmas by this weekend... then keep the next 2 days (22+23) to see what others thing need to arrange before leaving for Setiawan with hubby on Christmas Eve... then will take good rest when I am there... :)

Bake this last night... start around 9:00pm and finish around 1:30am... then clean up.. by the time I go to bed is 2:30am liao... so tiring... anyway I must say the out come is satisfying... hehehe


Here's the recipe:

Ingredients:
150gm butter
80gm icing sugar
3 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla essence
280gm plain flour
50gm milk powder
2 tbsp corn flour
100 - 110gm hazelnut (toasted)
200gm dark chocolate melted
50-100gm white chocolate melted
some paper cups

Methods:
  1. Sieve flour, milk powder and corn flour together.
  2. Beat butter and icing sugar till fluffy, then add in egg yolks and vanilla essence. Mix well.
  3. Fold in sifted flour to form a dough.
  4. Divide into small pieces (5gm each)
  5. Wrap in a piece of the toasted hazelnut and shape into rounds and arrange on lined baking trays.
  6. Bake at 180C for 10-15min leave to cool.
  7. Soak and coat the hazelnut ball with dark chocolate and place it into the paper cup.
  8. Place melted white chocolate into piping bag and pipe out white lines on cookie.
  9. Leave to set before storage.
