And here are the 2 Fierce Crabby that I chop up.... forgot to take their photo while they are still alive.. so too bad...hihihi
And here's the 2 Fierce Crabby now all saucy & ready to eat... slurppp... hahahaha
Here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
2-3 medium size crab (about 800gm - 1kg)
1 large big onion chopped
1 piece ginger grind (about the size of 1"x1")
1 red chilli blended / finely chop
1 egg
4tbsp oil
For the sauce:
6-8tbsp chilli sauce
4-5tbsp tomato sauce
1/4tsp salt
3-4 tsp sugar (or according to your taste if like sweeter then can add more)
1/4 tsp citric acid (can use viniger in exchange but adjust accordingly)
1.5 cup water
constarch for thickening (if needed)
Method:
1. Heat oil & stir fry the onion till fragrant & semi-soft. Add in the ginger & chilli then continue to stir fry till fragrant.
2. Add in the tomoto & chilli sauce & water and stir well and bring to boil.
3. Add in sugar, salt & citric acid/vinegar to taste. Let it boil for 30second and add in the crabs.
4. Stir fry the crabs and mixed well in the gravy. Cover for 1min then continue to stir fry. When gravy thicken till 2/3 left (if u like lesser sauce then can slightly thicken it abit longer). Your crab should be cook by now.
5. Add in the egg (the gravy shld still be hot & boilling) stir a little to mix then quickly turn off the heat and your crab is ready to serve.
Note: If too much gravy, either you boil it longer or add constrach to thicken it. But usually you will not need the constarch as the egg will act as the thickening agent.
