This is something I cooked for my lunch about 2weeks ago and was my first attempt to cook-up a dish of my own recipe (so call). I saw on one of the cookery show on Astro where they were cooking deep fry toufu so from there it inspire me to cook this dish. The dish actually turns out quite well and tasty too... something different :)
Ingredients:
1pkt Japanese Toufu
20g carrot cut into small cubes
20g Sengkuang / Chinese turnip cut into small cubes
1-2 clove Shallot chop coarsly
120g Fish paste
pinch of salt
dash of pepper
oil for frying
Sauce:
Thai chilly sauce
Cut the tofu, place on paper towel to absorb the excess water & mixed the carrot, turnip, shallot, pepper, salt & fish paste together
put a substantial amount of fish paste on the the tofu
Heat up some oil and fry the tofu.. fry the fish paste side first then only turn the other way.
Drain the oil & garnish with some shredded carrot & cucumber and pour the thai chillies sauce over and serve while its still hot
